Felixstowe – Man arrested after pedestrian found injured on A14 |

A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was found injured on the A14 in Felixstowe.
Police were called just after 4:30am on Saturday 4 April following reports that a man had been lying injured in the road near the Dock Spur roundabout, believed to have been struck by a vehicle which had left the scene.
Police, the East of England Ambulance Service and air ambulance attended. The injured pedestrian, a man aged in his 60s, was taken to hospital with injuries that were initially believed to be potentially life changing. He remains in hospital receiving treatment, but his injuries are no longer considered to be as serious.
At approximately 6:35am of the same day, police arrested a man aged in his 30s on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
He was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has been released on police bail until 11 June. The suspect vehicle was also located and seized by police.
The A14 was closed in both directions following the incident, reopening at approximately 2:20pm.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and asking any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
